    Growth stalled in the fourth quarter of 2016.

    At the end of the fourth quarter of 2016 assets in exchange-traded-fund managed portfolios were even with their level at the end of the year’s third quarter. At the end of December, Morningstar was tracking 881 strategies from 162 firms with total assets of $84.8 billion. This stalling of growth comes after three consecutive quarters of growth in this space.
